Companies will be able to provide their employees with up to 46,557Kč per year for services specifically related to physical and mental health: health checkups, psychological consultations, rehabilitation, vitamins, prevention programs, etc.
💡 Tax advantage: This benefit will be exempt from taxes and levies, allowing companies to use resources more efficiently while optimizing tax costs. Employee health directly affects employee performance and engagement.
According to European studies, sickness absence is at record levels: ✅ 50% of employees were on sick leave at least once in 2024, ✅ long term sickness absence (more than one month) is increasing with an average of 97 days, placing a significant burden on the health system and employers in terms of costs and lost productivity.
Main causes of sickness absence: ✅ Musculoskeletal disorders (e.g. back pain): a significant proportion of sick leave, especially in physically demanding sectors. ✅ Respiratory diseases: seasonal illnesses such as influenza are among the most common reasons for short-term sickness absence. ✅ Psychological problems (stress, burnout, depression): these problems are increasing rapidly (32% of long-term sickness absence), often related to the working environment and pressure.
